Would you like to design your own silver bangle in one day? Why not create one for yourself or make a present for a member of your family or a friend?
This fun and friendly workshop gives participants, with little or no previous experience, the basic skills required to make a unique bangle. The workshop starts at 10.00am, finishing at 4.00pm, with a pause for lunch partway through the day. Participants will be guided through from design to creation, with demonstrations and advice offered throughout the day. Techniques covered will include saw-piercing, texturing, soldering, and polishing. Participants will have the opportunity to practice techniques in copper first, before moving onto silver.
Tools and equipment are provided, as are workshop aprons. Bringing along a sketchbook/paper and a pen on the day would be helpful. If you already have hand tools such as pliers then you are welcome to bring these too but please make sure they are clearly labeled! Enough silver/copper to make a standard bangle is provided. Additional silver and wire will be available to purchase on the day if required.
