Festive Folk Art Painting Workshop - Sunday 26th November 2017
This workshop will not only be a fascinating and relaxing day, it will also provide you with the perfect opportunity to create a selection of bespoke gifts, ready for the gifting season.
Folk art painting is the exciting way of decorating using dots and simple brush strokes. This charming naive painting method can be used to create greetings cards and embellish picture frames, wooden boxes, plant pots as well as larger items such as mirrors and furniture.
We have given this popular workshop a suitably festive twist. During your day you will learn a variety of painting techniques that will enable you to create cards, gift tags, tree decorations, and a variety of gifts.
Your experienced tutor will guide you through the processes, offering top tips and easy-to-follow pointers. You will have a collection of pieces to embellish during the day, including a card, a gift bag with gift tag, a hanging Christmas decoration and one other piece that can be chosen on the day. You will of course also head home with new skills and oodles of ideas!
The workshop will run from 10.00am until 4.00pm. As with all of our workshops, there will be a pause for lunch, which is provided. All the materials and equipment you need to decorate your items will be provided, as will a workshop apron for you to wear during your day. Additional ‘blanks’ will be available to purchase on the day should you wish to make more cards and gifts when you get home.
