Christmas Cake Decorating Workshop - Saturday 9th December 2017
One of the loveliest treats during the festive season is surely the sight of the Christmas cake – but how to decorate it?!
If you would like to create a beautifully decorated Christmas cake that will be admired by friends and family this Christmas, then this is the workshop for you.
Sugar crafting is a fascinating craft and the results, well, they can be breathtaking. To have the ability to create decorative leaves and flowers using sugar is incredibly clever – so imagine how amazed your visitors will be this Christmas when they set eyes on your cake, a work of festive art.
Your experienced tutor will provide expert knowledge and will guide you through the making processes, offering valuable pointers along the way. You will discover how to create ivy leaves and holly leaves as well as either poinsettia or Christmas rose. You will then have the freedom to put these skills to use as you continue your day, decorating your Christmas cake, transforming it into a super special statement.
All the materials and equipment you need will be provided, as will a workshop apron for you to wear during your day. All we ask you to bring with you is a 7-8 inch ready iced cake. Don’t worry if you don’t have time to make one, Marks and Spencer usually have a very good substitute!
The workshop is suitable for beginners and those with some experience. It is designed to be a interesting and enjoyable day - with a giggle or two along the way! The workshop will run from 10.00am until 4.00pm with a pause for lunch partway through the day, which is provided.
